H8 Honed tube is made of high precision steel tube by cold drawing or hot rolling, usually with steel grade ST52, in accordance with DIN 2391 honed with ISO-tolerance range H8 on the internal diameter. Basic material for manufacturing hydraulic cylinders particularly suitable for the industrial, mobile and special applications sector.

HOW TO MAKE H8 HONED TUBE

The cold drawn seamless tubes surface finishing is NBK, where the tubes are phosphate and normalized which provides corrosion resistance. It is oiled inside and outside. Normalize process creates tougher metal product. During normalizing, metals will be heated at a high temperature, and it allowed to naturally cool back down to room temperature by exposure after heating. Metals that have been through this process are more formable, harder and ductile.
